There's Joy in Jazzercise for the Cure
Joy visits with Colleen Manji and Fran Lasher, who are Jazzercise instructors, regarding their efforts to raise $10,000 for the Susan G. Komen Foundation for the Cure, a non-profit group seeking to eliminate breast cancer. Through Jazzerthons across the country, Jazzercise groups have been raising money to assist with this effort. Participants raise money while having a great time doing Jazzercise routines while wearing outlandish outfits! On Sunday, Feb. 13, Jazzercise groups from across Georgia gathered at the Ritz Carlon to jazz it up for the cure! Colleen Manji has also made a special offer for those who visit her Jazzercise studios in Gainesville and Braselton. New students will get a free trial month if they mention this video! Call 678-357-1690 to sign up for a free month of Jazzercise at one of the following locations: Jazzercise Fitness Center of Gainesville 199 John Morrow Jr. Parkway/Dawsonville Hwy; Jazzercise Braselton at Celebration Church 5560 Thompson Mill Rd.; and Jazzercise Braselton at Heather Wayne Dance 5370 Thompson Mill Rd.

There's Joy in Reading The Memory Keeper's Daughter
The fourth book that Joy’s Book Club reviews is the bestseller “The Memory Keeper’s Daughter” by Kim Edwards. In the 1960′s, a mother gives birth to twins, one of whom has Down’s syndrome; the father tells the mother that the afflicted baby has died, so that only one of the twins remains. A nurse takes the Down’s syndrome baby to an institution, but, because of the abhorrent conditions there, cannot bear to leave the baby, so she raises the baby on her own. The central conflict is whether the father will ever reveal to the mother what really happened to the Down’s syndrome baby, and how this affects everyone, including the remaining healthy twin.

There's Joy in Reading "Fireworks over Toccoa"
This summer Joy's book club read Jeffrey Stepakoff's first novel, "Fireworks over Toccoa", which is a "page turner", with romance, history, Georgia culture, and ethical issues. The setting is World War II, Toccoa, Georgia, when a fireworks celebration in the town turns into fireworks between two strangers who have just met. Should the heroine, Lily, reunite with her husband, who has been off to war for three years, or pursue this new connection with a pyrotechnic expert?
